Once you spend all your money on getting a movie ticket, there is normally hardly enough left to but a bucket of popcorn and a can of soda. Free and discounted movie tickets are also hard to come by if you do not know how and where to get them.
One of the tricks movie goers are now using is to buy bulk movie tickets. This put you at an advantage of winning free tickets or getting a good discount. This may only work for people who go to movie theatres often; buying bulk movie tickets if you are not going to use them is not realistic.

- Go for free family showings that some movie companies like Regal and ACM offer or even as less as dollar per ticket. Sitting at these showings are usually hard to find since they are offered at first come first serve basis.
- Some websites offer steep discounts for movie tickets bought in bulk.
